STANLY COUNTY — A helicopter airlifted an injured hiker Friday morning from Morrow Mountain State Park in Stanly County, officials said.

Crews rescued the 48-year-old Raleigh man after he got hurt along a trail.
He was in stable condition during the rescue operation.
The summit was closed at that time.
The man was with two children.
