CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Arson investigators were on the scene in east Charlotte of an apartment fire.
Officials said they think a man in Shadowood Apartments tried to kill himself, and then he or someone else apparently set fire to the apartment.
The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Channel 9 was told at least one neighbor has been displaced because of the smoke or fire.
Apartment officials said it has room to give those residents another unit.
