ROCK HILL, S.C. — Sentences were handed down in the largest case of food stamp fraud in South Carolina.

A judge sentenced Li Phu to two years in prison Wednesday, our partners at the Rock Hill Herald report.

Phu's daughters, Dianne Nguyen and Hoang Nguyen, also pleaded guilty in the $5 million scheme.

Prosecutors said Phu and his daughters overcharged the food stamp program at convenience stores for years and kept the extra money.
