SHERRILLS FORD, N.C. — A juvenile was hospitalized after a Catawba County Sheriff’s deputy shot them Thursday night, officials said.
Just before 10 p.m., deputies and Troutman police were searching for a juvenile suspect who allegedly had a stolen gun. According to the sheriff’s office, they found them armed at a home on Reed Creek Drive in Sherrills Ford.
No deputies were hurt. The sheriff’s office did not share how badly the juvenile was hurt.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into the shooting.
