KiKi Bistro in Plaza Midwood remakes itself amid pandemic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — KiKi Bistro owner Andy Kastanas is optimistic about what comes next.

His Plaza Midwood restaurant will reopen Thursday after being closed for six-plus months. Kiki had been open just four months when the pandemic shuttered dining rooms back in mid-March.

Now, the business is focused on reopening and finding its path forward.

“It was devastating at first. We were too new at that time to try and continue,” Kastanas says.
