LANCASTER, S.C. — The Lancaster Sheriff's Office made two arrests in a murder that happened earlier this week.
Deputies charged Stanley Melvin Reed and Keishawn Omar McManus in the shooting death of Timothy Wissinger.
A neighbor found Wissinger's truck still running, with his body inside, off of Lamplight road on Wednesday night.
A statement from the sheriff's office says they belive Reed and Wissinger were involved in an ongoing argument over a drug deal.
Authorities say the three men had arranged another drug deal the night of the murder.
During that meeting, deputies say the men got into an dispute and Wissinger was shot in his truck.
They say he drove off the road and crashed into trees.
Authorities say then Reed and McManus fled the scene.
Eyewitness News spoke to Wissinger's family earlier this week. His brother said he was a kind man who loved his children.
The Lancaster Sheriff, Barry Faile, expressed sympathy for the Wissinger family.
"Regardless of the circumstances, the loss of a loved one is a difficult thing. I am thankful we were able to provide closure for the family," Sheriff Faile said.
The two suspects are now being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center.
They both faces additonal charges including the distribution of cocaine.
