SHELBY, N.C. — A fire at an apartment complex in Shelby late Thursday night was started by lightning, according to the Shelby Fire Department.
The fire happened around 11 p.m. at The Carlisle at Delta Park. Firefighters responded and found flames shooting from the roof.
Channel 9 obtained video of the fire, which shows frequent lightning in the background as crews work to douse the flames.
No injuries were reported from the fire.
