Lincoln Co. investigators arrest man after marijuana found

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Lincoln County Sheriff's Office narcotic investigators raided a Denver home Thursday after receiving a tip, according to a news release.

Officers raided the home at 5765 Grassy Creek Road around 7:30 p.m. The resident, 30-year-old Keith Michael Howell, was not home at the time, but returned around 9:30 p.m. Officers arrested Howell.

Howell was charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana exceeding ½ ounce, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance. He is also charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Howell was processed at the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center and then released after posting a $30,000 secured bond.
