CHARLOTTE — A local high school football coach is off the job before the season even kicked off.
CMS suspended Palisades Head Coach Jonathan Simmons with pay. Simmons confirmed that to the Charlotte Observer, but did not give any more details.
We are asking the school what led to that decision.
In a letter to parents, Palisades’ principal said Defensive Coordinator Darrel Wilson will serve as the interim coach.
