CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Many parents are wondering what local day cares are going to do now that schools have closed.
Some child development centers told Channel 9 they had a lot less kids show up Monday morning.

“It’s been scary. A lot of the parents want answers. We want answers. We got the approval that we could open with stricter guidelines regarding sanitation and making sure our sick policy was in place,” director Amber Spears said.
Grogan’s Small World learning center in Sawmills is trying to stay open to help families who work in the health care industry.
When children arrive, they immediately have their temperatures checked and hands washed.
