CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local family’s first Charlotte location of The Original Hot Dog Factory, a restaurant chain made famous by Bravo’s popular “Real Housewives of Atlanta” series, hopes to start serving customers next month — but it won’t be their last. That’s according to Qcity Metro, which reported that first shop is in the Mallard Pointe center across from UNC Charlotte.
That restaurant chain founded by Dennis McKinley, the fiance of “Real Housewives” cast member Porsha Williams.

CBJ’s sister publication in Atlanta reported in June that the chain is expanding in a big way, with plans to open more than a dozen stores by mid-September. In addition to Charlotte, that article noted Raleigh among the markets with locations in the works.
