CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Officials from the town of Long View and the City of Hickory said they are working to be more transparent about the use of Flock cameras.
Their police departments will soon share information on license plate readers.

The public will be able to access a portal that shows how many cameras are in use and the number of searches police have done over the last 30 days.
The departments will also list the agencies they are sharing the data with across the region.
The town of Long View hopes to share its information in the next few weeks.
