KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — The Kannapolis Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit received the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program Law Enforcement Partner of the Year Award.
Sergeant Keith Benfield and Officers Scott Crainshaw, Gaspar Ruiz, and Austin Purser received the award, which is presented every two years.
The award honors those who go above and beyond to improve traffic safety and make an impact in their community.
The officers were honored at the N.C. Safety Conference and Expo in June.
