CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local woman’s passion is running, but it was her blind love for the sport that almost made her overlook serious symptoms of colorectal cancer.

Judy Casewell said she had always taken care of herself, which made her diagnosis that much more shocking.
“Sounds crazy but getting cancer was a blessing in disguise,” she told Channel 9′s Damany Lewis.
