CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A burgeoning area of Charlotte just west of uptown will soon gain a luxury apartment community as work nears completion on The Griff.

The E.C. Griffith Co., one of Charlotte’s oldest family-owned real estate firms, and Griffith Equities are behind that 271-unit complex, located off West Morehead Street near Freedom Drive. It is across the street from Bryant Park, about a mile from Bank of America Stadium and within walking distance of restaurants such as Pinky’s Westside Grill, Rhino Market & Deli, Town Brewing Co. and Open Kitchen. The community, named for company founder E.C. “Griff” Griffith Sr., also boasts access to the Irwin Creek Greenway.
The first units are expected to deliver in early spring.
