CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Illinois-based AHC Charles has plans for luxury rental townhomes in NoDa.
AHC Charles — an affiliate of AHC Funds, a private equity real estate fund — has snapped up roughly 1.3 acres at North Brevard Street and Charles Avenue. It paid just nearly $2.6 million for the property.

“We are responding to a gap in the market,” says Dan Broderick, principal with AHC. “Our tenants want a home-like experience in a desirable urban environment, with room to entertain or work from home, safe and convenient private entries, and a sophisticated living experience — but without the commitment and maintenance associated with homeownership. We’re providing a rental option that satisfies those needs.”
