Mama Ricotta’s temporarily closes after possible COVID-19 exposure

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The popular Italian restaurant, Mama Ricotta’s, was temporarily closed after a team member may have been exposed to COVID-19.

The restaurant made the announcement on its Facebook page Tuesday night.

According to the post, employees will be tested and the restaurant will be deep cleaned. A health expert has also been hired to advise the restaurant during the process.

The restaurant is scheduled to reopen at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Earlier this month, Cabarrus County health officials were investigating eight cases of COVID-19 linked to Old Armor Beer Company in Kannapolis. The brewery was deep cleaned three times and remains open.
