HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A man was taking inappropriate pictures of a woman at a Huntersville Kohl’s, police said.
They said an officer who was already at the Northcross Shopping Center made an arrest right away.
The officer was investigating another case when he spotted the man taking inappropriate photos of a woman with his cellphone.
Edgar Cruz-Bautista was charged with secret peeping.
It is unclear if the woman even knew what was going on prior to the arrest.
Police said in cases like this, they will seize the person's cellphone to try to determine if this was an isolated incident or if there were more photos taken.
The investigation is ongoing.
Bautista bonded out about three hours after his arrest Sunday night.
