LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police have arrested a man accused of peeping on a woman inside a Lincolnton tanning salon earlier this month.
Officers arrested David Painter after he turned himself in last Thursday at the Lincoln County Magistrate.
Detectives began investigating after a woman filed a police report claiming that as she was getting out of a tanning bed at the tanning salon, she saw Painter looking over the partition at her and taking photos on his cellphone.
Painter was charged with felony secret peeping and given a $7,500 secured bond. He has no prior criminal history.
The charge could result in Painter receiving 4-6 months in the North Carolina Department of Corrections and he could be required to register as a sex offender.
