CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — One man was arrested after narcotic agents found a meth lab at a Lenoir home, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said.
Investigators went to a home on Whitetail Drive to follow up on information that a man was visiting the home and possibly manufacturing meth there, the Sheriff’s Office said. Agents saw items consistent with components of a meth lab near a storage building, officials said.
The Sheriff’s Office said Matthew Vance, 36, gave investigators consent to search his vehicle, where they found precursor chemicals and paraphernalia used in manufacturing meth.
Vance was arrested and charged with meth-related violations.
The Sheriff’s Office said agents conducted interviews and learned of another location in the woods of the Collettsville community where Vance had been making meth. Investigators found a lab and drug paraphernalia at that location, according to officials.
