Man charged with attempted murder after Gastonia shooting, police say

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia police charged a man Saturday night in a shooting that injured another man.

Officials said Robert Stauss, 62, shot Eduardo Rojas at Rojas’ home in the 1200 block of West Tenth Avenue.

Officers charged Stauss with attempted first-degree murder.

Stauss is being held in the Gaston County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
