GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Attorneys for a Gaston County man accused of murder are working to convince a judge he deserves a retrial.
They said key evidence was overlooked in Michael Ryan's initial trial.

Ryan is currently on death row for the 2010 murder of David Farrar in Mount Holly.
His attorneys said that DNA evidence and an alibi could have cleared Ryan.
It is unclear when the judge will decide whether to grant a new trial.
