ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — A driver went for a wild ride before ending up in Lake Hickory.
Channel 9 reporter Dave Faherty sent in cellphone video of the scene, off of Rink Dam Road.
Highway Patrol troopers said the driver claims his brakes went out before he drove his Nissan into the water.
Divers are getting ready to go in the water to help retrieve the car after the driver made it to shore.
