CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There are now federal charges against a man accused of shooting at someone, then stealing their car.

Xavier Mills demanded the keys from a driver on The Plaza in north Charlotte in January, investigators said.
The victim wasn't hurt.
A grand jury indicted Mills for carjacking and using a firearm to further a crime of violence.
