NEWTON, N.C. — Police said a Newton man was arrested after he used fraudulent prescriptions to obtain medication at Hickory pharmacies.
John Curry, 35, was charged with four counts of felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery.
According to the Hickory Daily Record, police said Curry illegally obtained more than 100 pills.
Curry was placed under a $16,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
