CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed outside a house in east Charlotte Sunday night.
The shooting happened just after 11:00 p.m. on Ilford Street, near The Plaza.

When officers got to the area, they found two houses and three parked cars had been shot into but they did not find anyone injured.
Minutes later, 20-year-old Tyree McIntyre showed up at Atrium Health’s Medical Center in University City with a serious gunshot wound. Police said several of his friends drove him to the hospital.
MEDIC took McIntyre to Atrium - Main, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities said their initial investigation indicates McIntyre was standing outside a house on Ilford Street when he was shot by an unknown suspect.
No arrests have been made.
