Man robs Charlotte pizza restaurant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating another robbery at a Charlotte restaurant.

Police have not linked this one to others in the area, but the description of what happened is very similar.

Police said one man armed with a gun went into the Little Caesars just after 11 a.m. Saturday.
 
He got away in a white vehicle driven by another individual.
 
There have been nine other robberies similar to this one in the area over the past two weeks.

On Wednesday, police arrested Jonathan Shaird, who is accused of robbing a Taco Bell and Wendy's on Freedom Drive.

Eyewitness News will have an update on the progress of the investigation tonight on Eyewitness News at 10 and 11.

He faces 16 robbery with a dangerous weapon charges, five conspiracy to commit robbery charges and three kidnapping charges.

People Eyewitness News spoke with said they're not surprised by the rash of crimes.
