CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Police say a man was shot during an attempted robbery after arranging a meeting through an online ad.
This happened in the Woodsedge Drive area just before 2 a.m. on April 25.
Court documents say suspects demanded money from Srinath Ranganathan, then a masked man assaulted and shot Ranganathan as he tried to get away.
Ranganathan was transported to Novant Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, where his condition was later upgraded to stable.
Ranganathan suffered injuries to both lungs.
Investigators determined Ranganathan was targeted after responding to an advertisement on the website ‘Skipthegames.’
Detectives have requested arrest warrants for Brittany Abbott in connection with the shooting.
