Police search for wanted man after monitoring device stopped working

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for a man wanted facing multiple charges.

Daquan Amad Erwin is wanted after his electronic monitoring device stopped working. He's been previously arrested and charged with larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Police said Erwin was court-ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pretrial release.

Anyone with information Erwin's whereabouts, should immediately contact the Electronic Monitoring Unit at 704-432-8888, option #3, or call 911.

His bond was revoked after he refused to charge his electronic monitoring device, police said.
