MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Mecklenburg County property owners could see significant increases in their property values when the county completes its next revaluation.
Tax Assessor Ken Joyner said the county has completed an initial valuation for every property and reviewed about 56,000 sales.

The preliminary numbers show the median residential property value increasing by about 15%, while the average commercial property is projected to rise about 30%.
County officials will review each property one more time before next year’s revaluation is finalized.
