CHARLOTTE — One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 77 in north Charlotte Saturday morning, according to MEDIC.
The accident happened around 4:45 a.m. on I-77 northbound near Sunset Road, which is near exit 16. The crash involved a motorcycle and another car, officials said.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, MEDIC confirmed.

A lane of the highway was closed but later reopened. There is no information at this time on the cause of the crash. Channel 9 is reaching out for more information.
