CHARLOTTE — Two people are dead and another person was hurt in a crash along Interstate 485 in the Ballantyne area of south Charlotte Tuesday morning.
The wreck happened around 8:30 a.m. on the outer loop ramp of I-485 at Rea Road.
Authorities have not released any names or said what may have led to the crash.
MEDIC said two people were killed in the crash while a third person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The ramp to Rea Road was shut down for hours while police and troopers investigated. It was reopened around noon.
