CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in west Charlotte on Wednesday.
It happened just after 6:15 p.m. on the 5700 block of Leake Street.

According to CMPD, at least three people were involved in an altercation that led to a shooting.
Two of those people were taken to an area hospital by MEDIC, where one of them died.
The third person later showed up at a hospital as well and also died from their injuries, according to police.
