TROUTMAN, N.C. — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after they got into a wreck with a pickup truck early Thursday afternoon in Troutman, police said.

It happened along Charlotte Highway where it crosses Interstate 77.
The operator of the motorcycle was taken to a regional trauma center by ambulance, police said.
A medical helicopter was called out but was canceled.
The investigation is ongoing.
