Meth lab shut down in Marshville

MARSHVILLE, N.C.,None — Marshville police officers found a methamphetamine lab in a home on East Union Street while trying to serve a warrant Monday night.

When the find was made, Union County drug agents were called in to confirm the meth lab, and officials said the State Bureau of Investigation Meth Lab Team are expected to survey the home Tuesday.

Police said there is no public danger, but East Union between Cherio and Thomas streets has been shut down until the investigation is concluded.

Police said 24-year-old Raken Woodard was taken into custody at the Union County Jail, but information about Woodsard's bond has not been released.
