Michael Whatley raised $5M for campaign last quarter

WASHINGTON — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michael Whatley raised about $5 million last quarter, according to campaign finance records.

He has $7.8 million on hand to spend.

Channel 9 previously reported Roy Cooper raised $14.8 million last quarter and has more than $27 million in the bank for the race.
