MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Iredell County deputies said two men robbed a grocery store in Mooresville. Police said they think the culprits could be tied to three other crimes.
The latest robbery was Saturday night at the Food Lion store on Williamson Road.
Deputies told the Statesville Record and Landmark the men demanded money and then one fired a shot into the ceiling.
Authorities said it is similar to another robbery at a Food Lion in Huntersville on April 15.
Deputies said the same two men could be connected to two different Rite Aid robberies as well.
On April 16 in Statesville, a bystander was shot in the leg.
Authorities said the two men also might have held up a Cornelius Rite Aid in January.
