MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville man is facing more than 70 child sex charges, police announced Wednesday.
Officials told Channel 9 that 38-year-old Larry Davis was arrested and charged with 19 counts of statutory sex offense with a child, four counts of statutory rape of a child and 49 counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Davis was booked into the Iredell County Jail under a $1.5 million bond.
Police said all the charges were related to the same victim and that the offenses happened between June 2104 and January of this year.
The Mooresville Police Department launched its investigation into Davis earlier this month after receiving a sexual abuse report from the Iredell County Department of Social Services.
