More than 50 firefighters battle 2-alarm fire at dry-cleaning business

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dozens of firefighters were called to battle a two-alarm fire at a Charlotte dry-cleaning business overnight.

The flames broke out just after midnight in the Hutchinson Shopping Center on North Graham Street, just outside uptown.

Investigators determined the fire started behind a clothes dryer and estimated the damage at $25,000.

It took more than 50 firefighters nearly 45 minutes to get the fire under control.

No one was hurt.
