MATTHEWS, N.C. — A motorcycle rider was seriously injured in a wreck Thursday night, according to Matthews Police Department.
Police said the motorcycle hit another vehicle. There were reports the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic.
The wreck happened on U.S. 74 westbound near the IHOP. One lane of the road was closed while officers investigated the crash.
The rider was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
