CHARLOTTE, N.C. — State agents said they believe a Mount Holly woman may have forged signatures of prosecutors and judges in Mecklenburg County to get cases dismissed in court.
The State Bureau of Investigation said they've found at least six cases dating back to 2009 where that woman turned in dismissals with signatures that may have been forged.
All of the victims are Hispanic, and one told Eyewitness News Thursday that he had paid the woman $300 to take care of his ticket.
The SBI said another paid her $1,200 to clean his driving record.
The SBI served a search warrant to get handwriting samples they can compare with those on the documents.
They have not filed any charges in the case yet.
