Longtime stock car racing driver Gary Myers has died at 76.
Gary’s sons, Burt Myers and Jason Myers, announced their father’s Sept. 10 death through separate Facebook posts a day later.
Gary Myers participated in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, NASCAR Grand National East Series and NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour.
He made his debut in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series in 1974 at the Yankee 400 and appeared in 47 races in the series.
Myers also participated in the SMART Modified Tour, winning 15 races and earning the tour championship in 1996.
