CHARLOTTE, N.C. — (AP) — NASCAR plans to resume its season Sunday in Darlington, South Carolina.
The stock car racing series said its protocols provide a safe plan and will be enforced at the track. Still, NASCAR can’t control the competitors when away from the track.

NASCAR will be the first major professional sports league in North America to host a large event.
If its plan fails, it could jeopardize other leagues.
