The shutdown comes days after Channel 9 first reported allegations involving a 4-year-old boy. Arrest warrants said a daycare worker is accused of throwing or kicking the child into a wall.
Catawba County sheriff’s deputies have also arrested three other people in connection with the case, including the assistant director and district manager.
They are accused of failing to report a crime against a juvenile and failing to report juvenile abuse.
The investigation remains ongoing.
