ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina mom put her children in a dryer during Monday’s storms, officials said.
Onslow County Emergency Services Director Norman Bryson told our sister station WLOS that the mother, put her two children in the dryer during the storm to protect them from the severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Newport, an EF1 tornado touched down in the county near Haws Run Road.
No one was hurt.
