RALEIGH, N.C. — A neighborhood in Raleigh isn’t letting the virus keep them from visiting with their neighbors -- they’ve dubbed it “Howdy Neighbor Night.”
People who live in the Oakwood neighborhood stay on their own porches, but they can wave, make noise or even play music.

And, they were not alone. A neighborhood in Chapel Hill lined the streets with balloons in an effort to show solidarity and offer a big of colorful cheer.
Neighbor Lisa Adamo said she hopes it will become a regular occurrence.
“Everyone’s just terrified because there’s so much unknown right now,” Adamo said. “And, I think everyone coming together and showing up for each other, showing up for the neighborhood right now, is really important.”
