As previously reported by CBJ, the Ice House ended its five-year run at the end of 2022. Chef/owner Jennifer Brulé chose to shutter the concept and launch a new venture with Robert Maynard, CEO of Charlotte-based restaurant management and franchise company Won Life Holdings. Maynard also is co-founder and CEO of Famous Toastery, a breakfast and lunch chain where Brulé is chief culinary officer.
Hot Mess will be at 416 S. Main St. in Davidson, about 20 miles north of Charlotte’s center city.
