CHARLOTTE — Investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire early Sunday morning at a northeast Charlotte home.
The fire started around 3:30 a.m. on Spring Garden Lane. There was severe damage to the home.
Fire officials say a family has lived there for years.
"The family has lived this (in) house for 35 years so this is a well-established neighborhood and these folks have been here a long time," said Fire Chief Mike Wilson.
The American Red Cross is helping the family.
No injuries were reported.
