Police: Man crashes while fleeing armed robbers in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a call about a robbery early Tuesday morning in northwest Charlotte.

A man told police he was robbed by three people around 3:30 a.m. at Rozzelles Ferry Road and Oregon Street.

He said when he tried to flee from them in his car, someone fired shots at him, causing him to crash and hit one of the suspects.

One of the suspects was dropped off at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

MEDIC transported the man, who was cut during the robbery, to Carolinas Medical Center Main.

Officers have not made any arrests yet.
