Novant health experts talk how pandemic disproportionately impacts minorities

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Data continues to show how the pandemic is disproportionately impacting minorities.

More than half of the positive coronavirus cases in Mecklenburg Counties cases are minorities with African Americans making up 20% alone.

"When you think about health care disparity, that really deals with access,” said Tanya Blackmon, chief diversity, inclusion and equity officer.
